My family and I hope that we will get opportunity visit to Semporna, Sabah. We had memory in Semporna  when I was 4 years old.

If Melaka is famous for its gula Melaka, Sarawak is known for its gula apong. The difference between the two is that gula Melaka is made out of coconut, while gula apong is made out of nipah palm, or apong as it is known is Sarawak, which is abundant in the state. Gula apong is widely used in traditional Sarawakian kuih like kuih celorot (tube-shaped kuih wrapped in nipah leaves), kuih lenggang (kuih ketayap), and penyaram (UFO-shaped kuih), as well as in drinks like cendol and three-layer tea.Recently, there has been a renewed interest for gula apong in desserts, and they proved to be a hit! Here are the top three favourite places in Kuching for gula apong desserts.
